Since 2010 Rainer Müller together with his family has been living in a beautiful old Rhine Valley house in Dornbirn which was built 130 years ago. During the process of renovation the shingle cladding of the façade, the original windows and the front door were retained with only heat insulation being added. „The house was thus able to retain its original character and pleasant atmosphere,” explains the head of the household enthusiastically.

In contrast, the interior design was given a completely new look but still without loss of the radiating warmth of earlier times. Rainer Müller had the rooms tailored to meet the requirements of the family of four. For a start the ground floor welcomes residents and guests alike with a tiled stove and thick rug. „At the same time the house is extremely spacious” explains the family man. Just as important for him though is the quiet location, „This is worth its weight in gold; our children often run around outside with up to ten others from the neighbourhood.”
